Kling 3.0 settings on Kling4

Kling AI's 3.0 guide, dated February 6, 2026, describes clips of up to 15 seconds with audio generated in the same pass. This is what the Kling 3.0 AI video generator here lets you set, and what each second costs.
Clip length
4–15 s
Whole seconds. Credits scale with every second you add.
Resolution
720p · 1080p · 4K
The 4K mode joined the 3.0 series on April 23, 2026. Kling4 renders Kling 4.0 at 1080p at most, so 4K is a reason to pick 3.0 here.
Frame
16:9 · 9:16 · 1:1
Start from a picture and the clip takes that picture's shape instead.
Starting pictures
Up to 2
One picture becomes the first frame. Add a second and it becomes the last frame.
Sound
On or off
Same price either way. Off suits B-roll you plan to score later.
Credits per second
2.5 · 4 · 10
Base rates at 720p, 1080p and 4K, so a 10-second clip is 25, 40 or 100 credits. The composer shows your plan’s exact price before you click Create.

Kling 3.0 runs need a signed-in Kling4 account and credits. If you came for Kling 3.0 free: the one no-login clip Kling4 gives each visitor per day is rendered with Kling 4.0 (5 s, 720p, watermarked), not Kling 3.0.

What Kling 3.0 does well, and where it falls short

Does well

  • Scenes with several speakers

Kling's guide lists multi-character coreference: three or more people talking in one clip, each line tied to the character you name before it. Write who speaks, then the words in quotes.

  • Speech in five languages

Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, including a switch between languages mid-scene. English lines can take an American, British or Indian accent; Kling turns lines in any other language into English.

  • Lettering from your picture

Signs, captions and logos in a starting picture stay legible as the shot moves, which Kling calls native-level text output. Handy for packaging, shopfronts and title cards.

  • One 15-second take, up to 4K

A single uninterrupted shot of up to 15 seconds, and on Kling4 the only model with a 4K setting, for when you need a master you can crop or reframe in the edit.

Falls short

  • A 15-second ceiling

Longer scenes have to be stitched from several runs. Kling 4.0 goes to 30 seconds in one generation.

  • Fewer spoken languages

The 3.0 guide lists five speech languages; Kling 4.0's lists nine, adding Portuguese, German, French and Hindi.

  • No 21:9 frame

Widescreen, vertical and square only. Kling 4.0 added 21:9 for letterboxed, film-style framing.

  • No storyboard or elements here

Kling's Custom Multi-Shot storyboard and its elements (a character built from 2–4 pictures, optionally with a bound voice) are not in the Kling4 composer. You describe the whole scene in one prompt of up to 2,500 characters.

Kling 3.0 demos from Kling AI

Five clips from Kling AI's Kling 3.0 user guide, with Kling's own prompts. Each one began from a still picture, an input the Kling4 composer also accepts. The terrace scene was cut by Kling's Multi-Shot mode, which Kling4 does not expose, and the two longest prompts are shortened (…).
  • Terrace conversation across several shots

    Prompt
Outdoor terrace of a European villa, by a dining table with a blue and white checkered tablecloth, a young white woman in a blue and white striped short-sleeve shirt and khaki shorts, with a brown belt, sits barefoot, opposite a young white man in a white T-shirt. The camera zooms in, the woman swirls the juice in a glass, her eyes looking at the distant woods, and says "These trees will turn yellow in a month, won't they?". Close-up of the man, he lowers his head and says, "but they'll be green again next summer.". Then the woman turns her head, smiles at the man opposite, and says, "Are you always this optimistic? Or just about summer?". Then the man lifts his head, looks at the woman and says, “Only about summers with you.”
  • Japanese goodbye on a misty platform

    Prompt
On a small station shrouded in morning mist, the boy smiled and handed over the bento: 「急いで作ったけど、大丈夫? お母さんのレシピだよ。」 The girl took it with a smile: 「うん、きっと美味しい! 到着したら LINE するね。」
  • Perfume bottle with gold lettering

    Prompt
By the window of a Parisian apartment, with soft French piano BGM in the background, the gilded afternoon sunlight filters through the shutters onto the perfume bottle, casting dappled light and shadow. The camera pans slowly in from the scattered rose petals, shifting focus to the faceted cut of the Kling perfume bottle. Voiceover (lazy French female voice, British accent, slow pace): Bathe in the golden hour. The camera orbits the perfume bottle in slow motion, capturing the play of light and shadow on the golden lettering and bottle body. Voiceover: Kling, a whisper of Parisian elegance. The camera pulls back and freezes on the complete scene—the Kling perfume bottle standing on a velvet pedestal, with Parisian buildings faintly visible outside the window. Voiceover: Wrap yourself in luxury with every breath.
  • 15-second chase across a moonlit lawn

    Prompt
Opening with an ultra-wide-angle medium-long shot tracking horizontally, the stabilizer moves low to the ground, with a highly contrasting romantic cinematic tone of cold blue night and silvery white starry sky, exuding a strong poetic realism and classical epic temperament. The protagonist is a young woman in a dark green long dress, running with all her might on the garden lawn illuminated by moonlight; her skirt billows in the wind forming surging dynamic curves, she clutches a small white flower in her right hand and lifts the hem of her dress with her left, breathing rapidly yet with a firm gaze. At the 4th second, the camera accelerates forward with her, and multiple men and women in old-era ball gowns break into the frame one after another from the left and right sides in the background, running alongside her—some try to approach, some turn back to shout, yet none truly touch her, implying pursuit and escape. …
  • One-take orbit in a hall of statues

    Prompt
This is a 15-second cinematic long take, a single unbroken shot with no edited transitions. The scene is set inside a tower of plaster statues dappled with light and shadow, surrounded by towering white plaster sculptures, evoking an air of mystery and oppression. The shot opens with the protagonist skidding to a halt at the center of the scene after a frantic run, chest heaving, expression dazed and helpless, fear glinting in their eyes. The camera orbits the protagonist in a smooth 360-degree pan. As the camera rotates, the protagonist glances anxiously around and shouts: "Alex! Alex where are you! Are you here?" A cute dinosaur cry then echoes in the background, and the camera pushes in over the protagonist’s shoulder to their back— a small to medium-sized, adorable baby dinosaur steps out from behind a plaster pillar, letting out a sweet chirp. …

Kling O3 is Kling 3.0 Omni

When Kling 3.0 rolled out, Kling AI also upgraded its O1 model to Kling 3.0 Omni. Kling4 lists that model as Kling O3. It shares the 4–15 second range and the 2.5 and 4 credits per second of Kling 3 at 720p and 1080p, but stops at 1080p.

The difference is what you can feed it. Besides a prompt and a first or last frame, O3 takes one reference video of 3 to 10 seconds, with up to two pictures beside it. With a video attached it does not generate new sound. The generator on this page is fixed to Kling 3.0; O3 sits in the model menu of the main Kling4 generator.

Kling 3.0 vs Kling 4.0, briefly

Kling 4.0, released October 15, 2026, is the better pick for anything longer than 15 seconds, for shots steered by reference pictures or a clip, and for speech outside Kling 3.0’s five languages. Kling 3.0 keeps its place on Kling4 for 4K files and a lower rate: 2.5 credits a second at 720p against 3 for Kling 4.0. For the same prompts run on both, read Kling 4.0 vs Kling 3.0, or try Kling 4.0 with your own.

Kling 3.0 questions

Is Kling 3.0 still available?

Yes. Kling 4.0 arrived on October 15, 2026, but Kling4 kept Kling 3.0 as its own model instead of retiring it. You can run it from the generator on this page with a prompt, a starting picture or both, at 4 to 15 seconds and up to 4K. Each run is billed in credits and needs a signed-in account.

Should I use Kling 3.0 or Kling 4.0?

Start with Kling 4.0: it runs to 30 seconds, speaks nine languages and can follow reference pictures or a clip. Switch to Kling 3.0 when you need a 4K file, when a short clip should cost less (2.5 credits a second at 720p instead of 3), or when you are rerunning a prompt you first wrote for 3.0.
